Santa Claus Village
Free to enter and open all year. The paid parts are the meeting with Santa, the photographs and the husky and reindeer farms nearby.
Northern lights
September to March, never guaranteed, and Rovaniemi's town lights interfere — the tours drive out for a reason.
Daylight
Rovaniemi has a few hours of blue twilight in December and no real night in June. Both take adjusting to with children.
