Privacy

Saved places. Your starred list is stored in your browser's local storage. It never reaches a server, which also means it does not sync between devices and is lost if you clear your browser data.

Filters and preferences. Held in the page URL and in memory only.

Location. If you tap "Near me", your browser asks permission and the coordinates are used inside the page to sort by distance. They are not transmitted anywhere and are not stored.

Analytics. If enabled, this site uses privacy-focused analytics that count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. No advertising cookies are set.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is held by our email provider for the sole purpose of sending that newsletter. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the address.

Weather and air quality come from data.gov.sg. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap. Photographs may be served by Wikipedia or Google. Fonts are served by Google Fonts. Your browser contacts these services directly when a page loads, and their own privacy terms apply.

Links to Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps are ordinary outbound links. Nothing from those services is embedded, so they cannot track you here unless you click through.

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act you may ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and withdraw consent at any time. In practice the only personal data this site may hold is a newsletter email address.
