Spain with kids
Late dinners, warm sea, two of Europe's best theme parks and a cathedral still being built — and the most relaxed country on this site about having children in restaurants.
Where to base yourself Pick one, or pick two and split the days between them. Each card says roughly how long it is worth and how many things there are to do.
13.5 hrs · flight with one stop Barcelona Ages 4-12 · 6D5N · 31 things to do
Gaudí's unfinished cathedral and his mosaic park, a beach inside the city, an aquarium and a zoo, and two of Europe's best theme parks an hour down the coast.
Sagrada Família Park Güell PortAventura
The Sagrada Família and Park Güell both sell timed slots that go weeks ahead. Pickpocketing on Las Ramblas and the metro is organised and persistent — a zipped bag worn in front is not paranoia here.
Add Barcelona 14 hrs · flight with one stop Madrid Ages 4-12 · 5D4N · 18 things to do
A zoo, an aquarium, a nature park, two theme parks and the Prado, with Toledo and Segovia an hour out by train.
Parque Warner Royal Palace Toledo
Madrid sits at 650 metres and swings hard — 40°C in August, near freezing in January, and very dry both ways. It is the least beach-adjacent city here, which is either the point or the problem.
Add Madrid 2.5 hrs · train from Madrid Andalusia Ages 6-12 · 6D5N · 21 things to do
The Alhambra, a mosque turned cathedral, an Alcázar used as Dorne in Game of Thrones, and a cave system and a water park along the coast.
Alhambra Seville Alcázar Córdoba Mezquita
Seville and Córdoba regularly pass 40°C in July and August and the sightseeing is outdoors. The Alhambra's Nasrid Palaces admit you at a fixed slot — miss it and the ticket is void.
Add Andalusia V
1.5 hrs · train from Madrid Valencia Ages 3-12 · 4D3N · 8 things to do
The City of Arts and Sciences — Europe's largest aquarium, a hands-on science museum and a planetarium, all in one white futuristic complex with a beach nearby.
Oceanogràfic Science Museum Beaches
Everything worth doing here is in one complex, so two or three days is right rather than a week. The old riverbed park connecting it to the old town is flat and shaded — walk or hire bikes.
Add Valencia M
1 hr · flight from Barcelona Mallorca Ages 3-12 · 6D5N · 7 things to do
Calm coves, a cave system with an underground lake and a concert on it, and a good aquarium — the family half of an island better known for its nightlife.
Caves of Drach Palma Aquarium Coves
Magaluf and parts of the south are given over to nightlife and are not where you want to be based. The north and east coasts are the family side of the island.
Add Mallorca 5 hrs · flight from Madrid Tenerife and the Canaries Ages 3-12 · 7D6N · 8 things to do
Year-round warmth off the African coast, with one of the best water parks in the world and a large animal park on the same island.
Siam Park Loro Parque Winter sun
This is where Europe goes for winter sun, so December to March is peak and dear. Loro Parque still keeps orcas and dolphins in shows — worth knowing before you book, and the site links it with that said plainly.
Add Tenerife and the Canaries When to go. May, June, September and October. July and August are 35-40°C inland and Seville is genuinely dangerous in the afternoon. The islands work all year.
Choose where you are staying, then pick from what is reachable from there and the app builds a day-by-day plan around it.
Barcelona 13.5 hrs · flight with one stop · Ages 4-12 · 6D5N · 31 things to do. Gaudí's unfinished cathedral and his mosaic park, a beach inside the city, an aquarium and a zoo, and two of Europe's best theme parks an hour down the coast.

Book on Klook Spain — good to know Detail Entry No visa for Singapore passport holders for short stays. ETIAS is coming — check before booking. Time Six or seven hours behind Singapore depending on the season. Money Euro. Cards everywhere, including for small amounts. Eating Lunch is 2pm and dinner 9pm or later, and this is not flexible. Children are genuinely welcome at both — the late dinner is easier than it sounds once everyone has napped. The siesta Smaller shops and some sights close roughly 2pm to 5pm, especially in Andalusia. Plan the indoor things for then. Getting around The AVE fast trains are excellent: Madrid to Seville in two and a half hours, Madrid to Barcelona in three. Book ahead. Timed tickets The Alhambra's Nasrid Palaces admit you at a fixed half-hour slot and sell out a month ahead. The Sagrada Família is the same. These two are the bookings to make first. Water Tap water is safe, though in some coastal towns it tastes of the desalination plant.
