United Arab Emirates with kids
An indoor holiday, deliberately. Theme parks, aquariums and ski slopes inside malls, which in a country this hot is exactly the right design.
Where to base yourself Pick one, or pick two and split the days between them. Each card says roughly how long it is worth and how many things there are to do.
7.5 hrs · flight Dubai Ages 4-12 · 6D5N · 35 things to do
The tallest building in the world, an indoor ski slope, several water parks and a metro that runs to most of it. Everything is air-conditioned, which is the point.
Burj Khalifa Aquaventure Ski Dubai
Do not attempt this between May and September with children. Forty-five degrees is not a beach holiday.

Three theme parks on one island, a mosque worth dressing up for, and a Louvre under a perforated dome. Quieter and cheaper than Dubai.
Ferrari World Warner Bros. Louvre Abu Dhabi
The Yas Island parks are indoors but the walking between them is not. Use the shuttle.
